DISCOGRAPHY: Sideways Hole [cd-r] ROR014 We recorded this one in two sessions, Summers of 08 and 09 (along with pal, Alex Gray), and released it in the Fall of '09, resulting in what's probably our favorite release. We dragged a viola, guitar, stand up bass, and banjo through thick brush, ripe with ticks, to the creek tunnel that stretches underneath California's highway 101 near the 7/11 in Goleta. Avoiding black widows (or what we told ourselves were black widows) while performing for Sean's field recorder which rested at the halfway through the concrete shaft. Like the other two encyclopdia entries, this one is ideal for a night spent studying, reading, or trying to fall asleep. This is the music of friends enjoying long summer afternoons together, making the best of their surroundings, this is also full blown Jewelled Antler worship.
